HOSTA 'Albo-marginata': Plantain Lily; height: 12-18" zone: 3 habit: mounding; Gray-green foliage with wide white margins. Lavender flowers on 18-24" bloom scapes. Can tolerate sun.

HOSTA 'Allan P. McConnell': Plantain Lily; height: 12-15" zone: 4 habit: small mound; A neat and tidy little package of uniform leaves with a thin white margin. Lavender flowers in July through August on 15” scapes.

HOSTA 'August Moon': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mounding; Leaves change from pale green oval-shaped to longer, smoother and bright gold in summer. Bell-shaped white flowers on 28-30" scapes hold a hint of lavender.

HOSTA 'Big Daddy': Plantain Lily; height: 24-26" zone: 3 habit: clump; Deep blue cup-shaped leaves. Textured and heavy substance. White flower scapes about 30" tall. A nice blue hosta.

HOSTA 'Blue Angel': Plantain Lily; height: 24-36" zone: 3 habit: erect; Huge heavily textured deep blue foliage creating a tropical look in the garden. Dense clusters of white flowers on 48" scapes lasting the summer.

HOSTA 'Brim Cup': Plantain Lily; height: 12-15" zone: 3 habit: mound; Deep green cupped, seersucker leaves with wide white margins. Horn-shaped flowers opening to light blue and turning white in midsummer on 18" bloom scapes.

HOSTA 'Christmas Tree': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 5 habit: mound; Good substance, crinkled green with 'hit or miss' whitish edge. Funnel-shaped white flowers on 24-30" scapes.

HOSTA 'Fragrant Bouquet': Plantain Lily; height: 18-22" zone: 3 habit: mound; Light green leaves with creamy-white margins. Very pale lavender, fragrant flowers open in August on 36" bloom scapes. Makes a beautiful mound.

HOSTA 'Francee': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Graceful heart-shaped forest- green leaves with a creamy-white margin. Lavender flowers on 24" bloom scapes in late summer. Rapid grower, great for the every day garden.

HOSTA 'Frances Williams': Plantain Lily; height: 32-36" zone: 3 habit: mound; Giant blue-green leaves have a yellowish-green irregular edging. Pale lavender flowers on 36" bloom scapes. Spectacular specimen.

HOSTA 'Ginko Craig': Plantain Lily; height: 12-15" zone: 3 habit: mound; Slender green foliage with a wide white edge. Blue flowers on bloom scapes 24" above the foliage. Does well in morning sun, a very slow grower.

HOSTA 'Gold Standard': Plantain Lily; height: 24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Popular variety that has yellow based leaves with green margins. Rapid grower, best color when mature. Pale lavender flowers on 18" bloom scapes in midseason.

HOSTA 'Golden Tiara': Plantain Lily; height: 12-15" zone: 3 habit: low mound; Attractive heart-shaped light green leaves with a yellow ruffled margin. Purple flowers on 20-24" scapes in midsummer add to its interest. This lovely small Hosta holds its variegated color well all season.

HOSTA 'Guacamole': Plantain Lily; height: 20-24" zone: 4 habit: mound; Very shiny apple green leaves with dark green streaked margins. A sport of 'Fragrant Bouquet' with near white, fragrant flowers on 34" bloom scapes. Does not sun scorch and makes an excellent container plant.

HOSTA 'Halcyon': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Slender long ribbed blue foliage with white bell-shaped flowers on 20" bloom scapes. One of the deepest blue hostas with heavy substance. Good mid-sized grower. Slug resistant.

HOSTA 'Inniswood': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 4 habit: mound; Bright gold heart-shaped leaves with wide deep green margins. Foliage is heavy textured and corrugated at maturity. Lavender flowers in mid-summer.

HOSTA 'Invincible': Plantain Lily; height: 15-20" zone: 4 habit: small mound; Closely spaced glossy green leaves. Pale lavender, fragrant flowers on 20" bloom scapes in August. Nice foreground plant due to bright foliage. Does best in morning sun.

HOSTA 'June': Plantain Lily; height: 12" zone: 3 habit: small mound; Nice gold center, blue-green margin, great thick substance. Streaking often goes from margin into leaf center. Sport of 'Halcyon,' pale lavender flower spikes 16-20" tall.

HOSTA 'Krossa Regal': Plantain Lily; height: 30" zone: 3 habit: erect mound; Large, heavy, and leathery frosty blue foliage. Upright mound with arching leaves forming a vase-shape with orchid blooms held on 4-5' scapes. Excellent grower.

HOSTA 'Middle Ridge': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Curly green leaf with white center, pale lavender flowers on 30" scapes. Developed right here in Lake County, Ohio in 1979.

HOSTA 'Nightlife': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Large blue-green leaves. Bi-color fragrant flowers on 24" scapes. Makes a nice medium size hosta from the plantaginea family.

HOSTA 'Patriot': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; A sport of 'Francee' with almost pure white margins on a glossy dark green leaf. A clean, neat looking hosta. Robust grower with lavender flowers on 30" scapes in late summer.

HOSTA 'Paul's Glory': Plantain Lily; height: 30-36" zone: 4 habit: clump; Leaf center is yellow fading to white in summer with 1/2" blue-green edging. Color holds all season. Pale lavender flowers on 24" bloom scapes. Developed by Paul Hofer here in Lake County, Ohio.

HOSTA plantaginea: Plantain Lily; height: 15-18" zone: 3 habit: mound; An old fashioned favorite with pure white fragrant flowers on 24" bloom scapes. Leaves are bright green, heart-shaped, and glossy above and below. Flowers open early evening and all night.

HOSTA 'Royal Standard': Plantain Lily; height: 24-30" zone: 3 habit: mound; Bright, shiny green foliage with pure white fragrant flowers. Adapts well to most growing conditions. Fragrant flowers and bright leaves make a showy and aromatic planting.

HOSTA 'Sagae' aka fluctuans 'Variegata': Plantain Lily; height: 30-36" zone: 3 habit: clump; Thick textured, rounded blue-green foliage with buttery yellow margins and pale lavender flowers on 36" scapes. Large, dramatic specimen. Trouble free and impressive with time.

HOSTA sieboldiana 'Elegans': Plantain Lily; height: 36" zone: 3 habit: clump; Seersucker heart-shaped blue-gray foliage with white flowers on short bloom scapes. Excellent specimen. Plants and leaves get larger each year.

HOSTA 'So Sweet': Plantain Lily; height: 14-18" zone: 4 habit: mound; This hosta has it all! A mid-size grower with green leaves and an irregular cream border. The aroma of fragrant white blooms is where it earns its name.

HOSTA 'Sum and Substance': Plantain Lily; height: 30-36" zone: 3 habit: large mound; Large chartreuse to yellow leaves heavily textured grow upright. Pest resistant with white flowers in late summer on 38" bloom scapes. A remarkable beauty with time.

HOSTA 'Wide Brim': Plantain Lily; height: 18-24" zone: 3 habit: mound; Wide blue-green foliage with a lovely irregular cream margin. Dense pale lavender flowers in summer. Rapid grower and can grow to 45" wide.
